Meet the Team Behind the Midwest Chapter
These industry professionals are leading the ‘OG’ of SCC chapters.
The Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) was formed as a non-profit professional Society in 1945. Three years later, the first chapter was formed: the Chicago Society of Cosmetic Chemists—today known as Midwest Chapter (MWSCC).
The MWSCC board encompasses industry professionals dedicated to advancing the education and experiences of Chapter members and the industry at large. The board members are:
- Chair: Shechinah Dunmore, formulation technologist for the global beauty and home team at Ingredion Incorporated
- Chair-Elect: Raffat Linville, regional sales manager at Hallstar
- Secretary: Rebecca Wietting of CHT
- Treasurer: Breona Luker, aerosol chemistry for Solo Labs/Bradford
- Treasurer-Elect: Narjis A. Askar, a senior polymer scientist and technical business leader
- Area II Director: Frank Wagner, VP business development with SCT
- Programming: Megan Peboontom, key account manager at New Directions Aromatics
- Scholarship: Heather Grimm, key account manager for Essential Ingredients
- Newsletter: Jack Ryan, account management with Mays Chemical, a Ravago Company
